We are now looking for a self-driven and experienced accounting economist for a consulting assignment with an established organization in the public sector. The assignment has a quick start and is suitable for you who thrive in a broad accounting role!

About the position

You will join a team with several finance functions and work closely with both the CFO and the operations. The role involves quickly getting acquainted with existing workflows and contributing to ensuring stable and accurate accounting during a period. You are responsible for ensuring correct financial reporting and providing insights for strategic decisions. You collaborate closely with colleagues to streamline financial processes.

Responsibilities

The role entails a broad responsibility for accounting from start to finish.

  • Responsible for ongoing bookkeeping and accounting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Handle invoicing and accounts payable
  • Prepare VAT and tax declarations
  • Conduct analysis and follow-up of financial data

We are looking for someone who

  • Has good knowledge of Swedish accounting legislation
  • Has several years of experience in qualified accounting
  • Is self-driven in bookkeeping and reconciliation work
  • Has experience with year-end processes
  • Has the ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Has fluent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience with specific business systems (e.g., Visma, Fortnox)
  • Familiarity with group accounting
  • The ability to identify and implement improvements in processes
